The musical marble run

Métal-Musique (2017) Belval (L)
The marble runs are a game with random, repetition and variation and sound as complex and unpredictable as contemporary music.
In
ferragosto I,
la route flonflon and
Métal-Musique the balls roll on an inclined ramp and hit
lying and hanging objects, producing different sounds according to their size, material and quantity. Melodies, sound clusters and
accents create an indeterminate yet well-organised piece of music.
ingraisch is made with trash objects found at Hotel Pupik - parts of works of art and from agricultural equipment - and
build into the hay stack of the barn; it consists of tracks and tubes for the running balls, and hanging objects as sounding
obstacles.
